Certified Home Inspector
Ask for a Certified ASHI® Home Inspector
An ASHI® (American Society of Home Inspections) standard inspection is a visual examination of the home and its major components including foundation, roofing, heating, cooling electrical, plumbing, visible structural elements, walls, ceilings, floors, doors and windows. The purpose of the inspection is to inform and educate the client about significant defects and concerns. The report provides a general evaluation of existing conditions and may suggest future maintenance procedures. ASHI Members often provide tests for mold, radon, lead paint, electromagnetic interference, asbestos, wood boring pests, and other environmental risks.
The vast majority of home inspectors don’t possess the skills, training and experience that can be expected from a CERTIFIED ASHI® Member.
There are many inspectors who falsely say, “My inspections are conducted to ASHI Standards.” Using an inspector who claims to meet ASHI® standards is not the same as using an ASHI® Certified Member who has been tested and certified! Beware of “inspectors” citing credentials they have been unable to acquire.
To check ASHI® membership: Ask to see an ASHI® ID card with membership number, or; Check online at www.ASHI.com, or; Call ASHI® National Offices for verification.
